The patterned paper is from Kaisercraft. The ribbon that you can barely see is from Papertrey Ink. The ornaments were cut from Christmas Cheer. The larger one is 1 1/2 and the smaller ones 3/4 inches. I used diamond stickles and glossy accents on the ornaments and the white background which I embossed with my christmas cuttlebug folder. The sentiment is from Scrappy Moms stamps.

Happy Birthday Carlie and Ethan

Hey everyone. Thanks for stopping by. Hope you are all having a great day. It's a rainy one here in Alberta.:( Lot's of those here lately.
Anyway, today's card I made for my son Ethan. His birthday was yesterday. Big 6. Also, my daughter Carlie was 16 on the 19th or July. We had a party for both of them yesterday. It was lots of fun.
This card is a 6 x 6. I made it this big because of the cuts on the Toy Story cartridge. I was so excited about this cartridge but, looking through it there is little I will use as the pieces are so super tiny.
He wanted a Toy Story card so I thought this Woody head would do and he just loved it.
The cardstock is from Papertrey ink and Recollections. The patterned paper is from DCWV grade school stack. Button are from my stash and the rik rak is from Maya Road. The Toy Story was cut at 1 3/4 and the Woody head was cut at 5 inches. I used some glossy accents on the hair, scarf, tongue, teeth and eyes. I used the oriental weave embossing folder for the red cardstock and my black gel pen to doodle.

Hope you all enjoyed my card and please leave a comment. I would also love it if you became a follower. :) Candy

Explosion Box

Hey everyone! I haven't posted in a few days because I was busy with a project. An explosion box for my mother's 65th birthday. It's a big day so I figured it deserved a great gift. I got the idea from Momo who got the specs from The Canadian Nickel on youtube. I must say the hardest thing about this box was actually picking the papers.
I asked my Mom what her favorite colors were and she said, yellow, pink, purple and blue. She also loves butterflies, flowers and glitter. A girl after my own heart. LOL. I really enjoyed making this box and once I started I just couldn't stop I wanted  to get to the finished project. I love it. I sure she will shed a tear or two. Love you Mom and Happy Birthday!!!
I used thickers, DCWV papers, stickles, stickers and ribbon from my stash, sentiments from Pink by Design, Hero Arts, Amy R stamps, Inkadinadoo, my corner chomper, white gel pen.
This post will be long I have lots of pics to post. Enjoy!!

I usually have a hard time with bows as I haven't done many. I think this one turned out ok.

The view as soon as you take the cover off.

I thought this was cute as my Mom loves tea and it goes well with this pic of my Dad.

Used my punches to get all three pics of my kids on one page.

My Mom and I both love bingo!

A pic from her last birthday.

Our little family wishing her Happy Birthday.

A pic of me. I made a pocket to put a personal letter I wrote to my Mom for her birthday.

We both love to shop. Who doesn't??? LOL

My Mom and her bestie Debbie.

Me and my hubbie and then an older pic of Mom and me.

Well I hope you all enjoy my Explosion Box. Thanks for stopping by and please leave me a comment. I would also love it if you became a follower. Don't forget you can click on any of the pics to take a closer look.  :) Candy

The papers are K & Company and 3 Birds. The ribbon and cardstock Papertrey Ink. The sentiment is from My Pink Stamper. I used pink glitter paper for the icecream. I used glosssy accents on the chocolate sauce on the icecream. I used stickles on the strawberry. I used the swiss dots cuttlebug folder on the strawberry and diamond plate folder on the cone. Throwback Thursday Challenge-Argyle Card

Hey everyone! Todays card is one I am entering into My Creative Time's Throwback Thursday challenge, http://creativetimeforme.com. We had to use the wild card cartridge- I used the argyle card. We also had to use embossing somewhere on the card- I embossed my sentiment. It was my first time embossing so it was an adventure.(LOL)
I cut the card at 5 3/4. The cardstock is from Papertrey Ink and Recollections. The ribbon is from my stash. The sentiment is from Joy's Life.

I think the sentiment turned out well. The first time I made the sentiment it was quite messy. The second time I used a dryer sheet over the cardstock before stamping and that really did the trick. Embossing is not really that scary after all.(LOL) Hope you enjoy the card and please leave me a comment. :) Candy
